		<description>I couldn&#039;t agree more with your take on this.  Players will respond to that which is emphasized but if this is not in alignment with their goals and/or best interests we as coaches may not like their response.  Too many coaches mistakenly believe or out of their insecurity feel the need to control and stifle. I believe that it is the  philosophy of  first focusing on eliminating defeat taken to far and it is ultimately stifling development and enjoyment. Sometimes we must first fail to succeed.
