Bungee Cord Acceleration Training w/ Ball Pounds..

Here is a routine I use with a 150 lb bungee cord to improve force generation in the frontal and saggital planes while pounding the basketball. First emphasis should be on maintaining proper form and leg angles.

I'm utilizing a home-made fixture made from PVC tubing for the bungee cord retaining pole. It slides into the volleyball net pole cavity on the court with a piece of foam used to keep it snug. You MUST be careful to ensure that the bungee cord retaining pole will not slide out of the cavity while it is in use. Here is a picture of the set up..
