Summer 2011 Practice

This is our 1st summer workout of the year.  In conjunction with the Power 30 principles we posted about here is the lay-out for practice:Focus is on ball pressure and passing under pressure.  We only have 30 minutes today because the gym is being used after 4pm for another team's tryouts. 


1. Bodyweight warm-up (5)

2. Skill Development (10)

    a. 2v0-2v2 Gael Passing

3. Team Competition (15)

    a. 4v4v4 cut-thrpat

    b. No dribble / pass and cut

    c. Ball pressure / sprint-2-help / block-out

5/25/11: we will be able to go longer today, we are going to keep practices around 1hr. and 15 minutes for now.  Here is how it will look today:

1. Jump Rope (5)

2. Skill Development (10)

     a. 2v2 Gael passing

3. 4v4v4 cut-throat (15)

4. 5v3,4,5 motion offense (15)

5. Capped rim transition game (25)

6. FT Standard: 8/10 and close
